About Mallory
I've lived in Missouri most of my life, particularly in the Ozarks region. I started with the Residential Life department and Missouri S&T in 2015. My job is to uphold S&T's housing policy and verify students exempting from the campus housing requirement meet the stipulations.

Having worked in housing for so long, I met many students from abroad who were not required to live on campus struggle to find a place. Sometimes I would have upset students in my office wanting to break their leases with property management companies or landlords because what they've moved into is not what was advertised online.

My husband is an immigrant from India and he experienced similar issues when moving to the US. That's one of the reasons this is dear to me. I want international and out-of-state students to be confident in making a big move. I want people to come to America and feel welcomed, comfortable, and safe. There's already enough to worry about when making such a huge life change!

I love doing pottery and ink art, and I sell my work through my Etsy shop and showcase my work on my tiktok accounts.

I have fluent proficiency in English, novice proficiency in Japanese and Korean, and my Hindi speaking and reading skill is at a B1 threshold. I can read and write in English, non-Kanji (Hiragana/Katakana) Japanese, Korean, and Hindi.
